The Philippine payment rails are described across these pages: their operators, what they are licensed as, and what they publish on limits, fees and settlement. Each figure is taken from the provider’s own domain or from a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas document, since affiliate sites copy payment figures between themselves more carelessly than nearly anything else online.

6 pages, and every one is about a single entry instead of summarising several. A field above that reads “not published” is followed, on the entry’s own page, by an explanation of who would have needed to publish it.

Each entry in a paragraph

Each one gets just enough detail to tell you which page deserves your click.

Maya, in detail

Operator: Maya Philippines, Inc., which started out as Smart Money and traded for a time as PayMaya Philippines.

Published limit: A monthly cap of PHP 100,000 applies at the Upgraded tier; Super Users get PHP 500,000, Ultimate Users get PHP 5,000,000, and Basic gets PHP 50,000.

On gambling: Reading Maya’s e-wallet terms and conditions directly turned up no gambling clause, only general prohibitions on illegal activity and anti-money-laundering breaches.

The InstaPay entry

Operator: Operating the automated clearing house, with BSP overseeing it, is Philippine Payments Management, Inc.

The field is marked not applicable and not left blank, because this rail has no such thing as a wallet limit.

InstaPay publishes no position on gambling transactions. Do not read that as permission, since merchant-category rules are often enforced without being published and a payment may be declined with no public rule behind it.

GCash, in detail

Operator: Mynt company G-Xchange, Inc., itself a joint venture between Globe Fintech Innovations and Ayala Corporation.

Published limit: PHP 100,000 applies at Fully Verified and is measured at any given time.

On gambling: GCash’s own terms and conditions do not blanket-ban gambling merchants; the closest general clause prohibits pyramid and Ponzi schemes.

GrabPay explained

Operator: Licensed to issue e-money for Grab in the Philippines is GPay Network Philippines, Inc.

Published limit: A driver or merchant wallet can be loaded with PHP 250,000 in a month, against PHP 100,000 for a Standard Consumer wallet and PHP 10,000 for a Restricted wallet.

On gambling: The gambling position is a prohibition, and among Philippine e-wallets examined it is the clearest.

PESONet explained

Operator: Operated through Philippine Payments Management, Inc., while clearing switch duties are designated to the Philippine Clearing House Corporation.

The field is marked not applicable and not left blank, because this rail has no such thing as a wallet limit.

PESONet publishes no position on gambling transactions. Do not read that as permission, since merchant-category rules are often enforced without being published and a payment may be declined with no public rule behind it.

The Debit and Credit Cards entry

Operator: Visa and Mastercard as the international schemes, plus BancNet where domestic debit is concerned.

The field is marked not applicable and not left blank, because this rail has no such thing as a wallet limit.

On gambling: A Philippine-specific position on gambling transactions from BSP, Visa or Mastercard could not be sourced.

The thing most often got wrong here

No single comparable number exists for a wallet limit. Maya publishes a monthly total, whereas GCash publishes a ceiling on the balance held at any one time. Different things are being measured, so side-by-side tables putting PHP 100,000 next to PHP 100,000 as if identical end up comparing a bucket to a tap.

Which of the two is quoted is stated on each page. Table formatting cannot reconcile a limit you reach by holding money with one you reach by moving it.

Confirm payment methods details on the game’s own screen

On a site like this one, nothing goes stale faster than payment figures. Rechecking any of them takes only a couple of minutes:

  1. A comparison page is the wrong place; the provider’s own help centre is the right one. On their own domains, GCash, Maya and Grab each publish their limits and terms, and each has revised them within the last two years.
  2. Work out which tier a quoted limit is for. New accounts sit on the bottom tier, yet nearly every wallet figure going around is the top-tier number presented as if a new account got it.
  3. Skip the bank and go to the BSP FAQ PDFs for InstaPay and PESONet. A bank’s own page speaks only for its own charges; the per-transaction cap, and who bears the fee, come from the scheme level.
  4. Whenever gambling and payments are involved, go through the provider’s acceptable use policy in full. Of everything these providers say, GrabPay’s prohibition is the clearest, and it sits in its terms of service instead of a help article.
  5. Assume that every figure on these pages carries a September 2026 date. That is precisely why every page names the source it drew from.

Using these payment methods at PHFUN

  1. Sign in at PHFUN and open the cashier.
  2. Read the limits displayed after choosing a method the cashier lists for your account.
  3. Make sure the name on your PHFUN account matches the name on your bank or wallet.
  4. Once you have confirmed the amount, hang on to the reference number until the balance updates.

FAQ

Do any of these rails take a published position on gambling transactions?

Maya, GCash, GrabPay, Debit and Credit Cards. The clearest case is GrabPay, and it amounts to a ban: casino games and sports betting are barred by its own acceptable use policy unless the activity is registered with the appropriate government agency.

What explains the absence of a deposit minimum on every page here?

Because a deposit minimum is set by the operator's cashier, not by the payment rail, and no PHFUN cashier was checked during research. Anything shown in that slot would have been made up.

Are these figures current?

September 2026 is the month this snapshot was captured in. Since payment providers revise limits and fees without notice, each page names the provider page its figure came from, so you can recheck it.

Will GCash work for funding a casino account?

There is no blanket ban on gambling merchants in GCash's own terms, yet BSP ordered every supervised institution to remove in-app gambling links in August 2025, and thousands of merchants abusing its QR system have been blocked by GCash. On what a licensed casino's cashier does, none of that adds up to a published statement in either direction, and this site offers none.

Why does GrabPay get different treatment from the other wallets on this site?

The reason is that its own terms of service carry an explicit gambling prohibition, which no other provider here has. GrabPay's own published position would be contradicted by telling a reader it is a straightforward way to fund a casino account.

InstaPay and PESONet: what sets them apart?

Real-time settlement, round-the-clock operation and a PHP 50,000 cap per transaction on personal transfers are what InstaPay offers. Batches on banking days are how PESONet clears, and no scheme-wide cap applies. Because InstaPay's ceiling pushes larger transfers onto PESONet, the amount is usually what determines which one handles a transfer.

Heading over to PHFUN?

Your account, your balance and every promotion are held by PHFUN itself; this guide holds none of them.
